There are different kind of software for fermentation processes: Agro-biological production is creating extraordinary interest worldwide because it is seen as a more environmentally friendly alternative. It also has the potential to reduce costs by reducing fertilizer consumption and improving yields by creating healthier plants. The aforementioned interest has led several international companies such as Bayer, BASF as well as others such as Agricen (USA), Liventia (Mexico) to develop their own product lines.
There are different kind of software for fermentation processes: software for fermentation control, software for fermentation analysis and software associated with specific fermentation equipment suppliers for bench top or pilot plant bioreactors and for large-scale cell culture and fermentation reactors.
Historically speaking at the beginning of the present century, the fermentation control software was basically free-for-all. No single company had a stranglehold on the market. Allen-Bradley, Siemen and Honeywell were all a good option but over a decade, Emerson's DeltaV system has really taken over the control software market. The reason is the superior capabilities of DeltaV to capture all data coming from instrument IO that is monitored by the control software. And all analysis is preceded by data capture, archival and retrieval.
We will deliver value to our customers in industrial and investment firms and government institutions by providing consulting services in the fields of biofuels, bio-based products, biotechnology, fermentation, membrane separation technology, food & beverages and water and wastewater treatment. We support process design, development and scale up to deliver technology from the laboratory bench and pilot testing on to commercial scale.
